Egypt Booklets

I have come across two books of postcards one is Alexandrie 24 detachable phototype postcards, the other is Port-Said Suez through the canal ,again 24 detachable phototype I have sent an attachment of a photo of the books are they of any value they are in great condition. thanks for your attention. Booklets of this type these were produced all over europe by the larger publishers mainly for the more popular tourist destinations. They contain a selection of the most popular views of the area in detachable form, often seperated by tissue.

Unfortunately as they contain the most common views of popular locations they are rarely worth very much, though the booklet will often contain one or two well animated views which are perhaps worth a pound or two. It always seems a shame to split them when this happens but for dealer is often the only way to get any return on them.

We don't usually buy them for stock unless they come as part of a bulk collection.
